I am but part of all I have written.

Welcome to my mindful thoughts, remembrances, and dreams of youth, love, death and 

yes, lifes brief and eventful journey.

"Have you ever been a hundred miles an hour in your life?" My Uncle Clyde Fitzhugh asked

a youthful 15 year old  Tommy as he anxiously clung to the steering wheel of Clydes car. "You have now" Clyde said. 

A small town, long gone, deceased yet fondly remembered, hauntingly alive as thoughts  who dare dream the past  cling to those dreams of a forgotten time. 

I write fiction or as Albert Camus said "either fiction or just damned lies." I like that thought as I deal with todays modern convenience of monotony. How did the timeless exuberance of youth pass so suddenly. Through it all, some died but a tale of forbidden truth hides in the back of our  minds. My thoughts remain sustained tied to Voltaire, Twain, Hemingway, Styron, Steinbeck, Toni Morrison, E.A. Proulx and now Percival Everett. 

Memories come and go yet the stories and story tellers remain for the future. 

I write as  I think and remember. Join me on my journey
